Gwyn is 11 years old and lives in Kentucky. She lives in a 1935 farmhouse with her mom and dad, and two sisters. Her favorite subjects are history and writing. Gwyn loves to run around and be crazy, play board games, and be mischievous. Gwyn was diagnosed with brain cancer—glioblastoma of the thalamus—in November 2020 at the age of nine. Even before this life-altering diagnosis, Gwyn always loved reading and being read to, and often tried her hand at writing and making her own books. Because sadness is a very healthy emotion. And everyone can find a way to help others.
